Rickers

Rickers Guide

Description

Tank Rickers Magnum Quest belongs to the Wild faction. It is considered to be an excellent tank for holding down an enemy with a lot of control. All three of his active abilities can stun opponents.

The hero starts working from the beginning. Works great in PvE content, except for Bosses. The whole advantage of Rickers lies in the large number of stuns that do not work on Bosses.

He has a large amount of base health and protection. Gains full power after level 276.

LORE

INTRODUCTION

Rickers was a mercenary active near the edge of the desert. In the gold rush raised by a bounty for liquid gold in the black market, he was hired to accompany a client into the desert and was instructed to touch the liquid gold to take a bottle ofliquid gold from the gold ocean. The client disappeared before theyleft the desert, while Rickers was confined in an ancient underground city because of a curse of the gold ocean.

APPEARANCE AND CHARACTER

Rickers is a dark-skinned barbarian who carries a mace made of goat sculls and an old round shield. Around his waist are the sculls of the enemies he beat. The blue paint in his naked chest is a symbol of victory in barbarian culture. Rickers is not a curious person. For his clients, he is a reliable partner who stays consistent with his goal.

HISTORY

Legend has it that deep in the desert of Armuda, there is an ocean where flows the liquid gold. Anyone who finds the gold ocean will have the access to immeasurable fortune. For years, countless treasure hunters have gone into the deserts, wishing to find this legendary source of boundless treasure. Some of them perished in the depth of the desert and nobody knows their whereabouts. Some more of them were back with their dream broken. The myth of the gold ocean gradually faded out of people’s mind as a delusion, until a breaking news created a stir in the black market: the gold ocean is truth-anyone who brings back a drop of liquid gold can exchange whatever he wants in the black market.

A new wave of gold rush arose in Armuda. Desperate bandits flocked to the desert, betting their lives on the eternal fortune.

Rickers was living in an oasis near the edge of the desert since a long time ago. He has no interest at all in the gold rush. One day, when he was treating himself to a nice glass of wine in the bar after receiving a commission for a recent business, a strange client came to him. The client wore a full-body veil covering his face and entire body, with only his green eyes revealed. Rickers never trusts in those who look sneaky and intended to refuse the client’s proposal. The strange guy persuaded him at the end with a lucrative reward.

Different from other gold diggers, the customer apparently knew well where they should head to. He always used a star-shaped gadget to confirm their direction. Strangely, Rickers never saw him eat, drink, or sleep. When they walked closely, Rickers could not hear or sense his breathe. His client seemed rather content as Rickers didn’t ask anything, despite all these abnormal signs and behaviors.

They walked day and night in the desert. At the beginning, Rickers could still see some desert plants from time to time. The clear, starry night sky had been his biggest comfort after a long day’s walking. As they went deeper, what surrounded them were only the sea of sand and the endless night. Rickers had wondered if there would be the end of the desert, until he finally saw the gold ocean.

To Rikers’s surprise, the vast magnificent gold ocean in the legend was actually a small pond of flowing liquid gold, shimmering with a decent glow like moonlight, mysteriously and dazzling.

The client took out a silver bottle and asked Rickers to take a bottle of gold. The moment Rickers touched the liquid gold in the pond, the ground beneath their feet started to tremble as if there would be a giant monster coming out of ground. Rickers suddenly had a bad feeling. He did as what he was instructed rapidly and left immediately with his customer.

From that day on, he often heard a voice calling on him to go back to the gold ocean.

Before they get out of the desert, the customer gave him a bag of jewels as promised and disappeared silently. Not long after, Rickers noticed the changes in his body. As long as he stepped out of the desert, his flesh and blood would collapse into bones and dust in a second. He had to stay in the desert.

Helplessly, Rickers followed the voice in his head and went back to the gold ocean. This time he saw an ancient city appear in the sea of sand. The city gate was open to him, and through the gate, he saw the residents in chains, branded with the mark of gold digger. After he walked into the city, the gate was closed behind him and the whole city descended again under the ground.

Anyone who ever touches the liquid gold will be confined here by a terrible curse. Rickers is now enslaved to guard the gold ocean, unless he recovers and returns the gold that he took.
